NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register for school.
For the 2026 - 2027 school year, Jan Reimer School is full in planned classes in Kindergarten and Grades 1, 2, 4, 5 and 9 in the regular program. For Grades 3, 6, 7 and 8 we remain open to resident attendance area students only. Resident students in Kindergarten and Grades 1, 2, 4, 5 and 9 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program will now have access to the overflow designated schools - Satoo School (Kindergarten to Grade 6) and kisêwâtisiwin School (Grade 7-9).
A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
To register at Jan Reimer school, we require a driver's license or house purchase contract and two of the following documentation showing the house address to be considered for school placement.

- Home/Tenant Insurance
- Credit Card Bill
- Property Tax Bill
- Car Insurance
LOTTERY PROCESS AT JAN REIMER 2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Jan Reimer will continue to have a lottery process in place for new resident attendance area students enrolling at the school for the 2026–27 school year. This will not impact current students who attend the school.
Siblings of current students attending Jan Reimer
New resident students in the attendance area who have a sibling returning to the school next year will get priority, but are not guaranteed to attend.

TRANSPORTATION TO OVERFLOW DESIGNATED SCHOOLS
Yellow bus service to SATOO SCHOOL or KISÊWÂTISIWIN SCHOOL will be available for eligible students. Bus fees will apply.
Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred transportation method for junior high and high school students; however, if ETS does not meet Division standards, eligible students attending their overflow designated school may be able to apply for yellow bus service. Bus fees will apply.
