Principal's Message
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Jan Reimer School, home of the Ravens!
At Jan Reimer School, we strive to empower our students to make positive choices by providing quality learning experiences in a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Our staff are committed to ongoing growth and work tirelessly to ensure all students soar to their fullest potential. We believe our motto, "In the classroom, Down the hallway, Across the street," guides our community to ensure everyone at Jan Reimer feels valued, heard, cared for, and loved.
Jan Reimer serves 1,171 students from the communities of The Orchards, Summerside South, and Summerside West. We offer classes in Grades 1 through 9, morning and afternoon half-day Kindergarten, and house a Division specialized program—Connections—which supports students with severe emotional and behavioral challenges.
We are fortunate to have incredible support from parents during special events and field trips, and we look forward to partnering with even more parents and community members this year. All parents are invited to join our School Council meetings, and we encourage you to check SchoolZone and Instagram regularly for upcoming dates.
I am excited and honored to serve as the Principal of Jan Reimer School, and I welcome the opportunity to partner in your child's educational journey. Please feel free to stop in to share your thoughts, hopes, and dreams for your children and our Ravens community. It truly takes a village, and together, we are better!
Welcome to Jan Reimer—home of the Ravens!

MEET THE TEACHER
This does not apply to next year’s Kindergarten. It applies only to students in Grades 1 to 9.
We are excited to share a new initiative for the 2026-2027 school year! On Monday, August 31st, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, our teachers will be in their classrooms to meet you and your child. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child's new teacher before the school year officially begins.
When you attend, please bring all of your child's school supplies. This will allow them to get settled and prepared for the upcoming year.
On Friday, August 28th, you will be able to log into your Schoolzone account to discover your child's classroom assignment. Please note that we will not be making any class changes at this time.
We believe this "Meet the Teacher" event will significantly help reduce any worries or anxieties your child might have about the first day of school. Our goal is for every child to arrive on Tuesday, September 1st, ready for the bell at 8:30 AM, eager to begin their learning journey.
Looking forward to seeing you then!
Jan Reimer Staff
