We are full in planned classes in Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 3 for the 2025/2026 school year. Our other grades are open until we reach capacity.
To register at Jan Reimer school, we require a driver's license or house purchase contract and two of the following documentation showing the house address to be considered for school placement.
- utility bill
- home/tenant insurance
- credit card bill
- property tax bill
- car insurance
2026-2027 School Year- Registration starts February 2, 2026 (new students & kindergarten)
To help address enrolment growth, Jan Reimer school has a lottery process for new students enrolling for the 2026–27 school year. This only impacts new resident* students living in the designated attendance area who wish to enrol in a grade that does not have space in planned classes. Students who are currently enrolled at Jan Reimer or who wish to enrol in a grade with space in planned classes are not impacted.
*A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.
PRE-ENROL IN SCHOOLZONE
Sign in to SchoolZone between 8 a.m. on February 2 and 4 p.m. on March 25, 2026 to select your child’s preferred school for the 2026–27 school year.
When you sign in to your parent SchoolZone account on your computer, tablet or smartphone:
- choose Next Year
- select the name of the child you are pre-enrolling
- follow the instructions to select your child’s preferred school for next year
UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS
If your address has changed, please update your information in SchoolZone before pre-enrolling. You will need to provide 3 proofs of address to janreimer@epsb.ca before the address change gets approved. The following types of documentation to verify your address are accepted:
- House/Rental Insurance
- Utility bill (Power, Cable, or Internet)
- Driver's License
- Property Tax Statement
- CRA Notice
LOTTERY PROCESS ONCE PRE-ENROLMENT CLOSES
Pre-enrolment closes at 4 p.m. on March 25. In April, the school will call the families of new resident students about the lottery results.
- If selected in the lottery, new resident students can attend the school.
- If not selected in the lottery, new resident students can:
- attend their overflow designated school or choose to enrol at a Level 1 school with space in planned classes (siblings may also enrol at the overflow designated school), and,
- request to be placed on a callback list if spaces open up until the last school day before pre-enrolment begins next school year.
ENROLLING AT AN OVERFLOW DESIGNATED SCHOOL OR OTHER DIVISION SCHOOL
We will help resident families who were not selected in the lottery process enrol at their overflow designated school, Satoo (K-6), Kisewatisiwin (7-9). If families choose to go to another Edmonton public school, they will need to call or email their preferred school to see if there is space in planned classes.
Siblings will also be able to attend the overflow designated school, but if families choose to go to another Division school with space in planned classes, siblings are not guaranteed to attend.
REGISTRATION AFTER MARCH 25, 2026
Resident students who move into a Level 3 school’s attendance area for the 2026–27 school year after pre-enrolment closes on March 25 can be added to the bottom of the callback list. Students can attend their overflow designated school, another Edmonton Public school with space in planned classes, or remain at their current school.
TRANSPORTATION TO OVERFLOW DESIGNATED SCHOOLS
Yellow bus service to Satoo will be available for eligible K–6 students. Bus fees will apply.
Students who require yellow bus service must apply before June 1, 2026. Important information and application forms can be found on the Applying for Yellow Bus Service page on epsb.ca.
Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred transportation method for junior high and high school students; however, if ETS is not available, eligible students attending their overflow designated school may be able to apply for yellow bus service.
